To The Woods




We go to the woods for peace, for exercise, for quiet, for companionship: we stop, we wonder, we watch, we move.   When life gets hectic and we start to feel pulled in different directions, this is where we escape. 

This weekend we finished some tasks around the home (non-blog worthy tasks like mowing the lawn and moving fences and logs), did some grocery shopping, and by Sunday afternoon we found a few hours to slip away and explore a new park.  There was a lot of running, acorn hunting, rock throwing, trail finding, and general glee at being outside on a bit of an adventure.  I am always amazed at how any tensions in life melt away just a bit when we head for the woods.
