Despite the hot temperatures this summer, there has still been a bit of knitting going on here. At some point it will cool off, and this little vest will be perfect for those cool fall nights. The vest is the pebble vest made with bigger needles and yarn since Freja will be over one by the time she'll wear it. Also coming off the needles this week was a little hat for Finley's doll - who absolutely needs a hat in 95 degree weather.
Currently I'm re-reading You Are Your Child's First Teacher by Rahima Baldwin. It has such gentle approach to parenting and I find the suggestions such wonderful reminders as I move through this whole parenting business. An important lesson when: hot weather = not sleeping kids = grumpy kids = grumpy Mama.
