It's been so hot and dry here the last few weeks, but nonetheless, the gardens are filling out, the broccoli
is ready for a first harvest, and the last strawberries are ready for picking. Despite my best attempts to overcrowd the gardens, everything seems to be well spaced at the moment, and there are even a few pockets where I can sneak in some seeds soon for a fall harvest.
The children's garden is starting to fill in, with some vines just growing in over the tunnel and along the fence. The twins are much more interested in planting then weeding, although there has been a little singing to help those seedlings grow.
I'm not sure if it is the singing, but the tomatoes are growing well and we're awaiting the day those green tomatoes start to turn red (or yellow or purple)!
We're heading off on a little summer adventure next week and I can only hope a little rain keeps the gardens growing.
