Mother's Day and Construction
We're happily recovering from a lovely mothers day weekend spent here with my mother, lots of yummy food, time in the garden, a trip to the farmers market, and a little time to do some painting last week. The path of motherhood has taken me in so many directions since the twins were born. The things I've learned about myself, my family, my children, and my husband have enriched my life. I am even more grateful for the large amount of love I was given as a child (and the large amount of laundry, dishes, diapers, etc that were done), I am amazed at my children's capacity for living every moment, and I am thankful for the partnership with my husband that grows deeper with each passing day and each parenting challenge and miracle we experience together.
As a bit of return to reality, today we are watching the workers repair our driveway in the poring rain. For 2 three year olds, this may be the best part of the week so far. Although, I must say I am pretty excited myself about it too, since I will no longer worry about the driveway caving in every time I drive down it, it is the simple pleasures in life.
