Popsicle Season

It's that time of year again: the sun is hot, the air is humid, and the popsicles are in the freezer.  The best part of making popsicles (and smoothies) is you can load them with all sorts of yummy, healthy, fillings.  Today we made popsicles with yogurt, blueberries and watered down orange juice (the bonus of not drinking much juice is what a treat it is when we do have it). 

Of course the other best part of popsicles, is the making part, that involved lots of scooping, dumping, and the occasional eating of blueberries.  Despite the growing proficiency of the twins in these skills, making these outside was perfect.  And the most magical part, within a few hours we had frozen treats!


  1. Can't believe we haven't made popsicles yet this year. I keep thinking about it, but somehow not ever at a moment when we can actually do it. Soon, it will happen soon.
