Yarn Along: More Animals

Today I'm joining the Yarn Along over at Small Things.

I'm on quite a kick with these little animals from the book Toymaking with Children by Freya Jaffke.  Some of the animals are for our own playtime, and a few will be making their way to a friend.  They knit up so quickly that it is quite rewarding.  A few hours ago I cast on the sheep, so perhaps next week I'll have a little flock ready to share!

I'm just finishing up reading Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley and am looking for new book ideas.  Perhaps something non-fiction, or maybe just a good read for when I'm nursing the baby to sleep for the millionth time each night.

    1. The book is great, but I've been spending way too much time making projects from it!

  2. Knitting those animals sure does get addictive - I love them! But Easter is coming and you cannot have too many hens, right?! They are all super cute!

    1. I thought about saving the animals for Easter, but the kids watch me sew them all day!

  3. That is an adorable little farm you have there!
Did you like Scarlett? Gone with the Wind is my all time favorite book and I read Scarlett when it was first released. I didn't enjoy it very much.
    Happy yarn along day.

    1. I enjoyed it enough to finish it, but it is nothing compared to Gone with the Wind. I like the idea of Scarlett growing and maturing, but it was definitely different then I imagined her growing.
