Little Sleep Sack

It seems that lately we've been celebrating so many new babies (and soon-to-be babies), and everywhere we look there seem to be little ones (mostly boys) joining our circle of friends.  While we are still waiting for first cousins, we are so happy to be surrounded by a growing family of friends and second cousins across the country.

To celebrate one of these new arrivals, I made this sweet little sleep sack from Anna Maria Horner's Handmade Beginnings and a whole bunch of fabric scraps.  Luckily I have my own little model here who was willing to try on the sleep sack before I dropped it in the mail.  She was very agreeable and is just starting to get a bit more fuzz on her head.  Dare I say that it looks slightly reddish? I love that in the bottom photo she is giving a little backwards L.  I think she's throwing a little 'love' your way on this Valentine's Day.

Now it is time to go snuggle that little bundle.  Sending warm wishes your way.

  1. This is adorable!! I just got Handmade Beginnings and can't wait to try out some of the ideas.

The first pic is wonderful, her eyes are beautiful and I will take the little bit of love she is dishing out in the second :)

Hope you had a lovely day.
