This weekend we ventured to the Flurry Festival in Saratoga Springs for a Saturday full of dancing, drumming, and storytelling. It was truly lovely to spend the day with a community of people who were simply taking pleasure in being surrounded by music. The spirit was infectious. At the start of the day Hadley and Finley were happy to watch the festivities from the sides, but within a few hours, they were joining in the drum circle and getting twirled around the dance hall. I'm very thankful to the person who decided to start a mid-winter music and dance festival in upstate NY!
With the frequent going outside and coming inside that happened over this past weekend, I was finding myself wishing Freja had warm pair of pants so I could avoid dressing her in the entire snowsuit every time we ventured out, so I decided to try out another pattern from Anna Maria Horner's Handmade Beginnings
Needless to say, I'm totally in love with these little pants. They are reversible and thus double layered. And since I made them in a 9 months size, my little peanut of a 6 month old can easily fit another pair of fleece pants underneath. It also gives Freja plenty of room to grow. I've already cut the pieces for her next pair. Did I mention I love these pants.
