This week we are full of thanks for the many wonderful things in our world, and while we share thanks around our table every evening, we are looking forward to celebrating our thanks on turkey day. To get in the mood, we are spending our time creating turkey's from paper, playdough, and most recently pancakes and cookies.
These two turkeys were both simple to make. For both turkeys I used currants for the eyes, but it would be easy to substitute chocolate chips. The best part of the turkey cookie as that you only need one heart shaped cookie, and it is simple enough for a 3 year old to assemble (as seen above). Enjoy your own celebrations this week, and enjoy your own turkeys!
