Winter: Make

Interactive Advent Calendar

Despite the warm weather, the Elving and celebrating has begun: decorations are coming out of the basement, greens and pine cones are being collected, holiday songs are on the radio, and recipes are standing by waiting until I finally get to the store to buy some flour.

Homemade Dolls for the Holidays

Since none of my little ones regularly read my blog, I feel it is safe to share a few things I've been working on.  My nights have been busy with these and other projects.  I just hope I can get it all done!  These little works are from the book Wee Wonderfuls.

Simple Gifts for Baby

This year we are giving Freja just a few small homemade gifts for her first Christmas. The twins are also each making her something simple.

Little Pants

This weekend we ventured to the Flurry Festival in Saratoga Springs for a Saturday full of dancing, drumming, and storytelling.

Little Sleep Sack

It seems that lately we've been celebrating so many new babies (and soon-to-be babies), and everywhere we look there seem to be little ones (mostly boys) joining our circle of friends.

Wrap Around Shirt for Baby

The sewing machine is out again.  The mid January rainy weather, lingering coughs, and a traveling Dad were all taking their toll on our moods here.

Headbands and Pants

There have been a few new Mama made pieces coming from the sewing machine these days, and I think the next project may even be for myself - eek.
